Using SonaTrace
What is SonaTrace for?
SonaTrace helps you run guided audio checkups, capture your audio setup, listen to references, and keep your own observations. Its Audio Lab brings together tools with specific listening purposes.
It provides reference and observation tools. It does not diagnose hardware or certify that a device is working correctly.
Which devices can I use?
The app is available for iPhone and iPad and requires iOS 17.0 or later. Some tools, including the lantern, SOS and Morse light tools, depend on supported iPhone hardware.
Check the App Store listing for the current compatibility details.
How do I start a guided checkup?
Choose the situation that fits: everyday audio, after a splash, before a call, before recording, or a headphone setup. Capture the active route, listen to the reference, then note what you hear.
You can save the context and observations in your Audio Passport.
Where are my Audio Passport entries?
The app keeps your saved checkups on your device, including the date, audio route context, and the notes you choose to add. Open Audio Passport in the app to revisit them.
Keep app history and website billing information separate when reading the privacy policy.
Does Quiet Window record my surroundings?
Quiet Window observes relative levels for 12 seconds. It does not save an audio recording. These readings are a reference and are not calibrated sound measurements.
Does Speaker Care repair my speaker?
Speaker Care plays a timed low-frequency sweep-and-pulse routine. It does not guarantee a repair or the removal of liquid or debris.
Follow your device manufacturer's care guidance, use a moderate volume, and stop if playback is uncomfortable.
Plans & billing
Can I use SonaTrace for free?
Yes. You can download the app for free and use the features offered in its free experience. The app and App Store describe any current in-app purchases and access options.
See our Free & Premium plans for the separate website subscription offer.
How does the website Premium plan work?
The offer is a 3-day free trial, then €19.99 EUR every 2 weeks, automatically renewing until cancelled. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid the first charge, or before the next renewal to avoid the next charge.
Website checkout is currently unavailable, so no trial or subscription can begin here.
How do I cancel a website subscription?
Use the website cancellation page for the relevant guidance. The website cancellation service is currently unavailable. A submitted form does not confirm that a subscription has been cancelled.
Read the cancellation policy before proceeding.
How do I cancel a subscription bought through Apple?
On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Select the subscription and follow Apple's cancellation options.
See Apple's subscription cancellation guide. Website cancellation cannot change an Apple purchase.
How do I request a refund?
The next step depends on who processed the purchase. For an Apple purchase, use Apple's Report a Problem service. Apple determines eligibility.
For website purchase information, read the refund policy. Cancellation and a refund are separate actions.
What information should I share for a billing request?
A billing email, the approximate purchase date and, for a website card purchase, only the last four card digits can help identify a purchase. Never share your full card number, expiry date or card security code.
Apple purchases are managed through your Apple account.
